Gaining A Heart of Wisdom

On Saturday, April 24th 39 women from Alive In Christ and the community gathered together for the “Gaining A Heart of Wisdom” women’s event.  The gathering included opening worship led by Grace Dablemont, talks by guest speaker Shirley Colbert from International Friends Ministries, and lunch with a nice time of fellowship.

Shirley Colbert’s morning talk focused on wisdom looking at Proverbs 8 and 9.  Then in the afternoon she talked about ways we can gain wisdom.  Each participant received a t-shirt, a God Guides booklet/devotional, and a bookmark with a reminder of how to turn anger/bitterness into the power of God’s love.  Resources from the talk can be found in the linked booklet.

After over a year of limited fellowship due to COVID, the attendees enjoyed conversations at their tables over a leisurely lunch.
