AIC to Czech Republic Youth Zoom

This past winter, the Youth participated in Missions Unpacked, a LCMS sponsored event which showcased Missionaries and their work around the world. During this time, we got to meet Chelsea Irwin, a recent college graduate who was called to serve the Lord in the Czech Republic. One of the key vehicles to sharing the Gospel is serving as a English as a second  language (ESL) teacher. She is working with Youth in the Czech Republic helping them to learn the English language.  When we found out that she has a youth group, we reached out to her to see if the Youth from the Czech Republic would like to practice their English with the Youth of Alive in Christ. She agreed that it was a great idea. So in the month of March, the Youth Zoomed with the youth of the Czech Republic. We had to coordinate time zones, 3:00 pm in the Czech Republic was 8:00 am for the Alive in Christ youths.  We did this two times, once at the beginning of the month and the second time during Spring Break at the end of the month. We shared what it was like to live in the USA and in the Czech republic. We played silly games (we are youth after all), and as we were conversating, we shared our life experience, and how our Faith in Jesus is part of our lives.  It was a great opportunity to be in the mission field in the Czech Republic from our own homes.
